CHICAGO – Director of Athletics Garrett Klassy announced on Wednesday, July 11, that the UIC Flames have extended the department’s partnership with 4FRONT, an innovative leader in the sports landscape. 4FRONT has worked with teams, leagues and entertainment properties across the globe including the Chicago Bears, Cleveland Cavaliers, the UFC, Cricket Australia and New Zealand Rugby.
As 4FRONT has continued to align itself with iconic partners around the world, the unique arrangement with the Flames is the first of its kind. UIC is the first collegiate athletic department that will have its portfolio of corporate partners handled primarily by 4FRONT executives.
“4FRONT has established itself as a true leader in our field,” said Klassy. “They share our passion for aiming higher and continuously live out that mindset by not only thinking outside of the box, but living there. While 4FRONT has clients spanning the globe, Chicago is their home and they have led a great many local legacy sponsorship deals including MB Financial Park at Rosemont and most recently securing the naming rights for Impact Field.”
“This is a transformative time for UIC as a University and especially their Athletics Department,” according to 4FRONT Partner and Co-Founder Josh Kritzler. “We are honored to work with UIC, Chancellor Michael Amiridis, Director of Athletics Garrett Klassy and his team. We couldn’t be more excited to help bring their vision of continuing to raise the profile of the University to life. Their commitment to both the University as well as the greater Chicago community will allow for a number of new corporate and community partner opportunities over the coming weeks and months.”
4FRONT, which is headquartered in Chicago and has offices in Dallas and Denver, began working with the Flames during Klassy’s first year at the helm and the company helped to infuse an innovative and collaborative mindset into the department. 4FRONT assisted UIC’s external relations team in launching digital campaigns and developing initiatives which targeted fans to attend a handful of home basketball games at the UIC Pavilion.
Moving forward, 4FRONT will continue to provide expertise in the core areas of innovation, analytics, digital strategy and strategic partnerships for the Flames. The group will continually assist the athletic department in several ways, including: corporate sponsorship development, strategic communication planning, brand management, and much more. In an all-encompassing agreement, 4FRONT will lend creative marketing services to the Flames, lead innovation workshops for UIC staff, provide social media strategy for the department, and much more.
“Our UIC staff talks frequently about being bold, taking risks and positioning ourselves at the forefront of the discussion on both the local and national levels,” added Klassy. “By teaming together with the creative thinkers at 4FRONT, I am thrilled for what the future holds for the Flames.”
